An alarming statistic is through the Internet were in circulation. This stat claims that half of all people who want to lose weight do not exercise. In the early days of the republic, the majority of Americans work hard on farms. They were used to practice during their normal working day, they eat large meals, to give them the energy they need to perform their tasks. There was no Oprah Winfrey at the moment, to their eating habits question.

In the 19 Century, Americans began moving to cities to take factory jobs. Even here, she spent much of their time on their feet. Many went to work and school, so exercise was part of their normal routine. They do not Pilates or strength training, because ordinary life offered many opportunities to train.

Fast forward to today. Many people have sedentary jobs, computer work, office work, working on the tills. At home, they spend much of their time in front of a TV or looted on their home computer.
